Time for front and rear window

Got some assistant from the guys at the glass shop!. worth every penny to have someone that is used to handling glass. I sure didn´t want to buy a new front window swell.

Rear window glass

Now it was time to mount the rear widow glass. The rear rubber seal is meant to hold some part of the inner roof in place as well. I remeberd that the glass was abit large so I marked the parts that I needed to trim away. Got help from a local glass business to cut it down. And when I was about to pick it up from the shop, my hand slipped and I broke it in 2 pieces. Yiihaaaa LOL. The manager looked at me and I told him that I was just about to ask what I owed him, he laughed and said that he was about to say that it would have been on the house. Now he needed to order a new piece of safety glass in green and cut a new one. That one was not on the house LOL:

Well well no matter how careful I try to be these things happens. I had stored it for 6 years without a scratch.

YES and by the way!!! The rear window is mounted from the INSIDE of the cab. There was a lively discussion on a facebook group where some stated outside, but that is wrong, period.

Removing front and rear glass

Forgot to take pictures of the rear window before I took it out, but I simply cut of the rubber lip on the outside (as the rear window is mounted from the inside of the cab) and put a light pressure on it with one hand from the outside and holding it on the inside with the other hand, it slowly let go. Same thing with the windshield put the lip has to be cut on the inside and the window pressed outwards.

I feared what I should find under the rubber sealing, how much rust that needed repair, but I was happily surpised as it was pretty much rust free, only some old leftover debris from the sealing compound used from factory.
