Window wiper linkage tear down

Everything is prettymuch worn out. Pivot assemblies are shoot, They are available as repro. The small plastic bushing in each end of the linkage is also a bit worn. Thinking of remove them completely, send all the linkage for zinc plateing, then have some one to turn new bushings from delring......

Engine has been completely disassembled  and has been to a machine shop for measurement, but I get a feeling that I should get a second opinion.......

Old timing set, need a new one

I think I'am gooing to need a new timing set.........(at least) but how much play is ok and what is not.

Status check engine, Part 1

Sunday afternoon and my son was feeling a bit down from a cold so I asked him if he wanted to go out to the garage and doing some work on the truck. I hadn´t planed on doing anything on the engine until the chassis was done but I figured the engine could be something we do together the times he want to be with me in the garage. So out we went and started with pulling the intake manifold. I didn´t have a clue on what condition engine was in other than it didn´t drank any oil but had a slight knocking sound on the right bank.... so we will see how this ends up.

Front wheel hub dissassembly

First off all I started with prying out the rear seal with a crowbar. Then I took out the roller bearings. Due to all the grease that has been collected over the year I couldn´t figure out how to get the bearings races out, so I took it to work and used a hot water cleaning cabinet to clean the hubs from all junk.

The axle was pulled in a unit when disassemble the truck, and now the time has come to take it apart. I started by flipping it over and placing it upside down on top of the frame and clamped it, then it got easier to work with.
