Removing the adjuster nut retainer, backing out the adjuster nuts, and then loosening the bearing caps.
Pinion front bearing retainer. A pain in the ass to remove, but a wisegrip made the trick.
Done! The housing is all empty so that it could be mediablasted. The lid for the pinion was good to clean with a wirebrush and some brake clean, Just made sure to protect the inner parts from any debris.
